Moreton Bay Regional Skate and BMX Plan

In 2019, Moreton Bay Regional Council engaged the Better Cities Group in partnership with Byron Artelier and Rock’N’Slide to carry out a detailed BMX and Skate Park Facilities Audit. The audit assessed the functionality, structural condition and strategic location of each of the region’s twenty-three skate park facilities. From this, Council identified opportunities to improve all of the skate parks through significant investment in maintenance and renewal. Council has also identified opportunities for seven skate parks to be redesigned and upgraded; these are:

  • Albany Creek, Morayfield, Deception Bay that are being consulted on now

  • North Lakes (Aurora Boulevard Park), Bray Park (Les Hughes Sporting Complex), Redcliffe and Caboolture that Council will work with community to develop concepts for over the next few years.
